Why No Coast?

Why No Coast?

The solar industry has been dominated by west coast companies since the beginning. This isn’t without valid reasoning, as the popularity of utilizing solar energy to produce the power for our homes and businesses began in Hawaii about 30 yrs ago, spread to California, then across the southern U.S. states from there.

The problem is, as understanding and acceptance of solar power as a viable alternative for producing our everyday power grew, the companies that led the industry began to outgrow themselves.

Customer service, particularly communication, started suffering as companies expanded into areas they were unfamiliar with, and therefore had no real loyalty to. Eventually their business practices evolved into the classic corporate numbers game, and they all basically adopted the same philosophy of throwing armies of hungry salespeople at a market (door knockers, anyone?) rather than employing true professionals that understood the difference between good business and a signature on a contract. Over the past decade, this trend has continued all over the country, and only comes to an end once it begins costing a company more than it brings in.
